Time to build, need a pod + boom

In the interest of saving time and getting me in the air sooner I am asking for suggestions on a pod & boom. I'm looking for something that is inexpensive so I don't care about cosmetics, I just need something to hold my electronics and not fall apart the first time it gently touches the earth. Maybe a fuse for a DLG with a crushed wing that someone has sitting in a closet somewhere or a blem from a production run, something along those lines is fine for me.

I'm uncertain what Boom he uses.

You could also go with a TopSky pod and boom from the same guys.

Thanks Carl. I should have also mentioned a preference for 2.4GHz friendliness but that's not a big deal. The TopSky parts are shown as out of stock which seems to be universal. Maybe there's a market for entry-level DLGs after all.

We have the parts, Pulling them from Kits as orders are placed as we have a big shipment of parts in transit to us now.

I have the same need and interest. After not flying DLG for a number of years, I've got the itch to put one back together. I have a new set of edge airfoils from Paul, and I have a boom and tail from my old Avenger DLG, just looking for a pod.

I prefer to spend $0, but would consider going up from there.

My budget is very similar. Realistically though I think I should be able to find reasonable parts somewhere south of $70. The Raptr pod is $35+S&H and an Allegro boom is $23+S&H. If I can get south of that I consider it a huge win.

True, but now I'm actually assembling tooling to start cutting foam and laying down fabrics. Things may have changing in the intervening half year.

It seems there has been a constant growth of interest in DLGs in the US so I am hoping to see a corresponding economy of scale as more people are fabricating a larger number of parts. Granted economy of scale is a sliding scale for very small values but it's still a scale.

If cosmetics aren't an issue, I have a couple of one-piece fuses that would work with minimal fuss.
