Question
Can I use 2 MCPX batteries with my UMX Beast?

I just picked up the battery 'Y' Harness for my UMX Beast, and I noticed that I could hook up 2 of my MCPX 200mah 3.7V E-flight batteries and use those in my UMX Beast. So now my question is, the batteries that I was using for the UMX Beast was the 2s E-flight 180mah batteries, how much more flying time will I get if I use 2 E-flight 200mah 1S Batteries?

A friend of mine said that the 2 200mah batteries would be the equivalent of a 400mah 2S battery. But I'm not completely convinced. If he is correct, that would seem like it would add considerable flight time! I have been getting about 5 to 7 minutes of fly time on the 180mah 2s batteries, so if by adding 2 1s 200mah batteries, and it actually is like a 400mah battery, would that almost DOUBLE my fly time?!

Her is the links to the horizon hobby web page for the batteries that I am talking about if that helps:

The UMX Beast uses 2S voltage. So if you got a Y-harness to connect (2) 1S batteries in series (not parallel), (2) 1S 200 mAh batteries would give you a little more time than a 2S 180 mAh battery.

If you had (2) 1S batteries in parallel, then the mAh would be additive, but I don't know if it would have enough voltage to power up and fly.

Yes, after reading your reply, I took a closer look at the harness, and it is a series connection. So the voltage is additive, where as the capacity of the batteries would not be. So by putting the two 1s 200mah 3.7v batteries in series, it effectively is a 2s 200mah 7.4 batteries, and would give me about a minute more fly time, compared to the 2s 180mah 7.4v batteies I am currently using.

Thanks for the info
