I was really feeling the love from the Fr3aK at the Nats.... Particularly on Monday. I finally got it dailed in like it's suppose to be and wow! Great, launches, great ranging ability and great thermaling ability in light lift. On Tuesday however I lost orientation on it and I have a little repair work to do. No big deal.

Thanks again for the fuse and tails, Tom. I plan to give rudderless a try now.

Mike

Oh, I also got a crack at the sticks on the TS version. What a sweet flying light lift plane. It should make a great addition to anyone's quiver of planes.

Huge congratulations to Craig Greening for winning (nearly dominating) the US Nationals. He flew a Validol and Fr3aK for the win in a mix of conditions.

It's really cool to see so many people flying these airplanes now. I would guess that there were between seven and ten at the NATs, outside of the three that I took.

The conditions at Muncie were perfect for the Fr3aK this week. We saw everything. Light floaty stuff, downwind dashes, turbulence and calm, big air and big sink... noon balloon and late day shutdowns. There were land outs for everyone and lots of exciting runs and saves. Good times.

Phil just sent me a fresh batch of wings so if you were waiting for an airframe, chances are very good that you'll be getting an email from me in the next few days. I'm back to the NATs for F3J fun later this weekend but will be in the shop working in the evenings until then.

The Synergy (Fr3aK TS) wing was passed around to many pilots before and after the contest and feedback has been universally good. Thanks to all of my friends that made the NATs hand launch a great contest, and congrats again to Craig for whipping up on us again

Thanks Tom for the kind words, and huge thanks for getting me a Fr3aK in time for the NATs. I used it for five rounds and it performed superbly. Tom has done an excellent job implementing the Zone sections, the model is extremely capable in all flight conditions. Floats when it needs to, and comes home through the slop too. On a few flights I got back to the flight box when I really didn't expect to, but it just keeps coming.

Oh, it launches like a missile too...

I picked a really breathable fabric, and I had a graphic designed but I didn't want to cover the pores on the shirt up with a big logo. Function first.... pretty second

I should have a handful of these by CASA Austin.
