FMS F-15 Strike Eagle

Nice EPS plane.

Less than 30 min to assemble. I gave her 2 coats of clear ronseal waterbase varnish to protect the porous paint.

I used a nano-tech 2200 25C 3S for maiden.

The plane took of like it was on rails. The recommended CG was right (amazing ).

Landing was very easy because she floats nicely. I kept the speed around 1/4 throttle and with a very shallow angle.

The third flight I was worried about the plane getting out of the landing strip and I reduced throttle too much. She started jumping and ended on her side, breaking the weakest point that is the fuse behind the cockpit. A little of Gorilla and she's ready again.

Crash and repair

EPS is nice and light, but its extremely fragile.

But with Gorilla it can be fixed in minutes. Remember that this glue expands, so clamp/anchor the parts for better results.

They are quite different. This one you can fly with a cheap 2200 3s battery.
Is smaller, so you can put her in the car trunk easily. Also only 3 channels needed. The other is more scale but you pay a price for it.

Thanks for the reply.
i think ill get this one it looks more simply and your video looks to have better handling and more power.

Ive been wanting to get a F-15 and put canards on it to make into a F-15 /MTD or active,it would be interesting to see how much lift and maneuverability it will gain with the canards.

Just got the Sky Camo ARF from BanannaHobbies. Too Bad Nitroplanes is out of stock, been a loyal customer with Nitro. I will start my evaluation with Bananna Hobbies, hope all goes well.

Do you guys know what ESC the ARF comes with? The reason I ask is because I bought a F-35 from nitroplanes, the advertisement says 30A esc, but in actuality it is 35 amp esc which allows for 4s with no modification....i wonder if this is the case for the same line 64mm f-15.

Hmm my guess would be they are the same because they are made by the same company but i could be wrong, its best to take it out and compare the 2 to each other.

i switched out my order to desert camo, since the grey color is on backorder, lord knows when it will be back in stock.

Im planning on running 4s with 4800kv motor. will require 60 amp esc.

this is the fan I intend on using for both motors

going to be 4s 1800 mah for starters heard the doppler will be 80 mph...great for this size edf.

maidened the stock setup today with a 2200mah 4s. I was hitting the temperature clamp on the stock 35A esc....and would momentarily cutt power during flight....which is why I was proud of myself for putting an external 5A bec with its own 400mah 2s supply...over all it flew great...alittle tail heavy so Ill just scoot the battery forward alittle. brought it back in one piece.

Now Im going to put a hobbyking blue series 70 4A bec in it to avoid the power outtage. Going to put a exceed 4800KV motor with the stock fan..should give enough beef for the heat.
