Really looking forward to flying it. Mine is an F3F with Rohacell in the wings, Spread-Tow and double carbon, carbon v-tail.

Cheers,

Quick report guys and gals...

The Precision is together, and only needs to be ballanced. Maiden should happen this weekend since I doubt I can get out to the field early enough during the week.

I am starting with a CG measured from LE at 100mm, then will fine tune from there. Of note, very little nose weight is expect to be necessary for ballancing. I will report on weights in the next day or two.

Cheers.

Mike

OK dudes,

The Precision is all set to maiden. Empty all up weight turns out to be 71.8oz! Not too shabby from my experience.

I transferred my Target program over and renamed it Precision. A couple of tweeks, and it looks good to go. Shooting to maiden on Saturday. Can't wait. This glider looks very good. If it flies as good as it looks, Samba will have a real winner on their hands. I expect to have a pretty good "feel" for it after the first day, but the true test will be flying some speed and distance, and doing some launching with Kyle, Tom and Dave.

So far all the reviews have come from slope flying, and both Kev and Pierre like the model so far. F3B is more my kind of flying, so I intend to test it more in that arena. I will get out to a slope race or two also, so stay tuned.

More later.

Oh, just a couple of details for anyone interested.

Servos: JR378HV - Flaps and Ailerons; 388HV - V-tails
Rx: Spektrum 9310 xmode
Battery: Elite 1500 2/3AA nimh - 5 cells
Nose weight:2.2-2.4 oz
Starting CG: 100mm from LE.
Launch, Reflex, and Thermal camber are set to TLAR values with insight from Mr. Rodax. I haven't pulled any numbers off of the surfaces yet, but will report when I collect that info.

More later.

Pike Precision

I can't wait to see this thing in person. Samba does such beautiful design/composite work. Even us nobody sport flyers are excited to get ahold of one!

Yep, thought about chucking off of the slope here in C'bad... Will bring it tomorrow, and if the wind is right, who knows. Gotta be careful not to scratch it up too much. Its so pretty!

Small stabs LOL...

Thanks for the interest dudes. Will report when there is more news...Next day or 3.
