Best HK charger for my purposes (3s lipos + TX ?

Hi all
Currently I am using the simple lipo charger that came with my ESKY heli to charge all my lipos, and it works great, balances almost perfect everytime. I'm not in a hurry, so slow charge is just fine. I was using a second one, but it started to unbalance wildly after a fem months:

Before that I was using this B6 charger, but 2nd use the display fizzed out, making it useless:

These 2 above chargers, I was using a modified 12v PC PSU for power, as I couldnt find a suitable wall plug. It worked OK, but I am wondering if it may have caused the early demise of the chargers. The ESKY charger uses its own proper wall jack.
Also, I just bought the LSD NIHMs for my Futaba FF8 TX:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=10456
My Futaba has no wall charger, so I have nothing when the charge runs out.

Can you recommend a charger that will allow me to charge more lipos and my TX?

I'm not in a hurry, and I prefer cheap. Also, I currently live in Japan, so shipping is more expensive. Thanks for any help.

EDIT: I just noticed I have several wall plugs that give 12v 1a output. I plugged these into my 2 cheapy chargers and they seem to be working. Thought Id check if its safe just in case. Thanks. The original ESKY plug/charger is here:
http://www.heli-fever.com/product_in...86vgi0aikfrc50
That plug calls for 12v 1.5 amp input. The HK charger had no specs other than 12v input. Is it OK to use my 12v 1a plugs for these 2 chargers?
Thanks

Should be fine as long as polarity is the same. You can also go to ebay or whatever Japan uses, and get an old 12v 5amp laptop power supply. I picked one up for $10 shipped and it has worked great on 5amp chargers.

There are quite a few decent chargers at hobbyking but can you tell us more about the capacity of the packs.

Good call on the laptop plug. Ill check it out.
The cheapy HK charger sucks. It always left the cells unbalanced, and now it leaves them WAY out. Just tried it using several power sources. The charged 1000mah 3s reades:
4.06
4.07
3.73

And the charger gets really hot.

I'm looking to cvharge a range of 3s lipos from 300-2200 mah. The TX batteries are NIHMs in the link using the Futaba servo plug or preferably the TX's side jack.

Is it worth taking another chance on one of these? I could try to find an old 12v 5a laptop plug as mentioned.

this appears to be good? But out of stock forever I guess:

I am sure my mate had an IMAX and wasn't too happy with the balancing.

Accucel-6 that i've got seems to be pretty decent and at a good price.

The hk site says accucells backorder AND instock within a couple of days. Should I prepay for one, or is it a trick?

Might want to double check with a reliable voltmeter. I had one of those HK testers and it was so far off I stopped using it immediately.

I have 3 of the Accucell 6s and they work great! The AUS warehouse has them in stock, but they are more expensive :/ If you aren't in a hurry and it's all you need, you could pre-order one and take your chances waiting.

The laptop power supply works great also, as long as you stay under max amps. Good luck.

I've never used a voltmeter. Can you recommend a cheap one off EBAY that ships to Japan?
This is really cheap - bad idea?

Is this the one you refer to?:

If so I'll buy it. I'll have to learn what all the buttons mean! Never used one before!

Hi there.
In the boating side of things we use this for checking packs before & after runs. they are very accurate & also give you the capacity percentage (in mah) remaining in the pack & individual cells. Also does receiver packs.
Does Li-lon, Lipo, & Li-Fe

I've had a few of those little battery monitors & each one of them had at least one of the cell readings way off when compared to a voltmeter.
I've been using this charger for the last two years without a problem if it's any help.

Cheers.
