I noticed that none of Crash's crew is touching any part of another crew member's anatomy.
 I was hoping that was not contagious!Kidding aside, the deck looks great - lots of great detail. Love it! Robert - you rigging looks great and should yield a much stronger set up. Remember not to over tighten the rigging screws. With the new set up it is tempting to torque those screws down. Looking forward to seeing the finished set up! Boomer

They are well made and strong but too big for me. Should do better research before I order them... :-(
I will not use them. Will see maybe Doby will get them off me for $100.00 ... He's got the size of boat they are good for... I got the new set on the way... Plus I need to make sure my mast is easy in and out for transportation reasons... Will have to be able to transport Yamaha and other 5 FE boats at the same time and I have small car... Quote:

Mast support installed and dry.
Spinnaker boom installed. My riser tube for the main was ripped off the deck last time on the water so I had to design new one. This time I will use fairly strong plastic bolt with washer and screw installed from top. Drilled small hole inside... Hope this will stay stronger this time. Plexy glass plate on the bottom to get better support... |

That should be strong enough to hold an elephant...
Murphy (a club member) was over today drooling on my boat and is looking for a Yamaha or Seawind ...so if anyone knows where to get one? He is very unhappy with the Vela...even after all the mods....here is another pic of us from last weekend. |

That is what I just got from them, 30-030 few and 30-035 maybe for the future boat...
The once from Australia are very well made but too large to be installed 2 on stock mounting on the hull.... I like them a lot, only if they are the right size...  Pekabe 482 are looking funtastic and I like the fact they have quick on off on them. I am sure 30-030 will work well for me. The objective is quick set up out of the car and back... Are those fittings the Sails Etc Compression Struts? Will they resist a load in tension?
