Thanks.
I use UHU on most EPP stuff but for the UM planes I tend towards "Hold the Foam" that I get at Micheal's Craft stores. it cures clear overnight and has a death grip bond without getting brittle. I prefer it to foam safe CA. but it does have an overnight cure time so it is an "end of the day" fix up.

Geez! That stinks! I haven't even flown it that much! Okay, what motor can I replace it with?

This is the direction I am going. A little more power and a lot more durability. I got 4 of the SX motors to try out on my Pole Cat and UM 4-Sites

Nice direction!

The Solo Pro motors seem to run forever.

A few have reported that their SX motors only lasted for 200~300 abusive flights.
My UM 4-site SX is impressive for a 1S brushed plane.
Straight up vertical with a 5043 prop... no problem.
Been going strong for almost a year now.

Michael's used to carry UHU POR packaged as UHU Creativ but my local ones haven't recently. They do carry other UHU glues and they aren't the right stuff. The reason I use the "Hold the Foam is it is about the lightest repair I have found. I put it on with the tip of a toothpick and it bonds great

If you use it like contact cement; it sets up almost as fast as ca.

it was your comments earlier in the thread that sent me that way. I love my UM 4-Site and hope to keep them going with the lightweight repairs and better motors. I have the puller and the connectors and the motors and just need a bit of time now that I am done prepping for the NEAT Fair (which was wonderful again this year)

I just grabbed a bottle at the NEAT Fair as the vendor next to me had it. A good backup when RCFoam is out of UHU

Ok bought the pole cat, should be here in a day or so. Excited to get this little sport plane aloft. Been on active duty for a while without the ability to fly, so hoefully this will wake my thumbs up and I can dust off my other birds ;-). Couldn't beat the price tag for a decent bnf from parkzone, under 100 bucks doesn't break the piggy bank ya know.

Perschek, thanks for your active service. We appreciate you and your sacrifice!

Happy Flying with your new Polecat. It'll wake your thumbs up and get you back flying again quickly. It's one sweet little bird!

well, i got a little too close to a goal post while doing vertical ovals, now i need a new tail (tore the vert. stab and the horizontal in half)......was such a fun flying session though, put 5 batts through it. i definitely cant wait until my miniaviations get here im also planning on going to a 5043 and eventually a solopro, id like just a bit more speed out of it, but not too much

I got mine a while back but got so involved in prepping for the NEAT Fair that I decided not to rush to fly it. Now that the NEAT dust has settled, it's supposed to rain until next wednesday... *sigh*
