PMcGibbon,
How did you secure the FMS props to the motor shaft?

Thanks for the information. That sounds great.

Looks to be more versatile and it's in stock for the same price as the unit you found. I have zero experience with these solid state type switches so I'd wait until I get one and let you know what I figure out. Assuming it works as advertised, I would think your 6th channel on the Rx would work. Question is, does your Tx have the capability to control it on a separate switch?

That unit looks like exactly what we might be looking for. Would really be cool if it allowed us to control all of those little enhancements like bomb drop, gear doors, turret rotations, lights, etc, etc.

Looking forward to hearing your report on this part. I'm almost tempted to order it just because I'm sure I could probably use it for something down the road.

Certainly cheaper than buying a new 12 channel JR radio!

In this months Model Aviation mag HK has this B 17 advertised @ $202.15 USD ??
I like this bird & tried backordering another @ $219 & total came to $260 something--instead of 1 cent ship, it's now about $40. My guess is the $202 is a baited come on

1 cent shipping is a promotion that comes and goes and expired last week. I think they use it to compete against HobbyPartz free shipping /w $50 purchase.
Basically the Belle is being sold at half price compared to Easy Tiger models. If you got one for $220 shipped your a winner.
That $10 switch you guys are looking at is sequential and non programmable. example. first flip of your aux channel closes switch one. next flip closes 2 and so on.

I'm hoping I can hang the bomb drop function, etc off it too. Will let you know. Saw a post from 'Tom in Cincy' suggesting it may as configurable as I hoped. Too late, it's already shipped. I'm pretty confident it will do at least one function so that's good

It currently shows that price on the HK website for me, not the USA warehouse. I was going to get a second one since the first was $219.95 + $.01 shipping for the USA warehouse but after the first shipment ran out they no longer do the $.01 shipping but I can see why the box was quite large.

Another option is to go to the decals thread on RCgroups. They have lots of high res images for various decals.

Here's a posting with a nice Hamilton Standard prop decal.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=587

I've used my color inkjet printer to print them on water slide paper. After printing, you need to give the decal paper a good coating of acrylic sealer (available from Michaels Craft stores) before transferring the decal on to the surface.

Works great!

You can buy decal paper and print your own on any inkjet printer too. DOH... should have read the whole post above me. LOL
