Does anyone know if the linear servos are actually any good (looking for a cheap non-Spektrum option for the AR6400's)? They have another linear servo on the site that's supposed to have trouble with a really short throw.

I, too, am interested in hearing how you hacked this to work with a trainer port. It would increase the usability a great deal.

But if you already have a DSM2 TX (as many people do) then you don't need to buy a TX module.

I know what you mean though. It all depends on how many receivers you want to own. Exchange rates also play their part. I'm benefitting from the good EUR/GBP rate at the moment.

Sometimes I wonder about the Chinese manufacturers. One of the servos I received (these were paid for samples) was missing a part. You'd think they would check samples before sending them out?

ohh man !
Super cool find

going to order the servo's ... now.

--------
EDIT : and ... done.
6 are on their way.

I like that the mechanical part is from plastic rather than the metal one. always preferred the spektrum
ones that have the plastic part - less play.
Also like the 8mm throw (almost as good as the 9mm on the spektrum) and 1/4 price ...
going to have to live with the fact they are not digital ..
my guess is they will be a bit over 1.1gr..

Why did you decide that these are not digital servo?
These vendors indicated that they were digital-

I've tested this servo.
I really liked it, and its speed is higher than that servo Spectrum.
My weight measurement HK1300 showed 1.14 grams without wires.

Any chance someone has a Turnigy 9X and can try binding the receiver with the 9X stock wireless module? Or at least take some nice pictures front and back of one of the receivers to tell what chips the thing is using?

The 5 channel receiver specs say...
"Channels: 4 (Support up to 5 channels with “Mul-CH”)"

Can someone tell me what "Mul-CH" means and how this gets me a 5th channel.

I don't think this is the same system as used in the 35mm Jets.
