BUD the first surf i had was at keramas. Its a beach break. It was a solid 4ft. But it wasnt peeling off very well. I got a few decent waves and it was fun. The sand on the beach is black. It took ages to get there and we got lost.

The second surf i got i was very hungover. I think the break was called Airport left. Its out from the main Kuta beach and takes about 5mins by boat. When we got out there is was breaking very nicely. Peeling off down the line and nice barrels. It was about 5ft on the bigger ones. I sat out there for a while but i was too hungover and too unfit to surf this break so i decided to come in on the next boat. My bro stayed out there and got some decent waves.

Yesterday we took a trip and went and checked dreamlands, padang padang but they where small and inconsistent. So we went up to uluwatu.

Oh man so glad we went to uluwatu. The surf was epic here. It was a mission to get down to. We must of surfed it for about 4 hours or more. Im so burnt and sore. My last wave i fell over the falls and got smashed on the reef. I have big grazes and cuts up my back. Im very worried it will get infected while im here.

Anyways, uluwatu was about 3-4 foot and there was some massive ones roll through. I had an awesome surf and got many cover ups but no true barrels that i made it out of. We hung right on the inside on the far right hand side if your looking down at it. Met a few local aussies out there and got a few tips about the good spots for surfing (and special massage).

So happy i got to surf uluwatu. But i dont think i will go back there as my bro was helping me to stay in the line up and keep the others from giving me chit for being a bodyboarder and stop them from dropping in on me.

Theres guys that sit right up the top and take pictures of you surfing and when you come in they ask you to sit down and show you the photos they took of you. They only really got two good pictures of me and they put them onto a cd rom. So later when i go out ill find an internet cafe and upload them as my netbook doenst have a cd rom.

BTW ive met two nice girls staying in the hotel here and im taking them both out tonight. Hopefully we have a nice holiday lovey long time and i wont have to put my hand in my wallet anymore. (lets say ive been living it up while ive been laying down).

Anyway guys im having fun but today i have a sore throat and im not feeling the best. Hope i havent gotten the bali bugs in me.

I can scope out those pics just fine...lots of practice, you know, checking surf in Hawai'i...most of the scoping spots are up high, just like those pics. Looks great! (prime territory for my Gerry Lopez 8'4" mini-tanker)

Funny how surf spot names carry over...on Maui where I lived there was a classic right that broke winter-time, also called Uluwatu!

Keep that reef rash from getting infected brah...I know peeps that picked up life-long cases of Staph from it, invaded their spinal column and all. Ugh. Eating sh*t/"going over the falls" on reef breaks is just like crashing spendy RC stuff- too be avoided at all costs!
