not sure what your doing in this thread but welcome. We just chat about our rc hobby escapades.

Well I have put most of the wing together and my hands are covered in epoxy. Gonna leave it to dry over night. Im gonna have to dig up some tape to use for the elevons to use as hinge tape. I should have it up and flying by the end of tomorrow.

Had another flight with the tristania and still not happy with it. Might just sell it off and get the techone angel from the aussie whare house.

Im hoping i can put in a HK order on tuesday.

Ohhh man I'm UBER happy, I heard from Bud today.

He's doing OK, still on tough street though and pretty much why he hasn't come back to RCG as he's trying to stay away from temptation (RC gear) so not to waste much needed cash on it. I can appreciate that!

I've asked him to pop in to say G'day to everyone so here's to hoping he will huh.

That is good news Meebs! I havent been posting much lately either. I haven't flown in around 4 months now. My eyesight in one eye is acting up something fierce. All blurry and wavy and crap. Got a eye appointment Today, we will see how that goes. I hate to say it but when we lost our air field, I kinda haven't had much urge to go flying.

Well this arvo i got bored and installed my dx6i auto timer. It was a very easy install. Just solder up a few wires and hot glue the little vibration motor on the back of the case. The vibrations arent very strong but there good enough.

The timer starts when ever i throttle up now and stops when ever I throttle down.

It looks like the tape I used for the hinges of my new flying wing will not hold so I will have to wait to goto the LHS and get some proper hinges. Im hoping i can maiden it this weekend.

What else can i use for the hinges on the wing?

Stal - what kinda tape are you using for 'hinges', and how are you putting it on? You know what 'step hinges' are, yah? If not, I can give you a heads up. Other than that, you can use Dubro plate hinges - I have a coupla spares I could mail up to you.

Turns out I have a busted blood vessel. It might clear up on its own or I might have to get some injections. They said time will tell. This could be a several month long process.

Baloni - did you have a HK Park Jet? If so how did yours fair out?

A guy I fly with Maidened his today and once he fastened motor directly to thrust line r center of fuse and not higher up like stock mount it flew great.
