I upgraded my mcx2 last night with some cnc aluminum parts. Good news, it flew nice, bad news, now it don't fly lol. It flew fine for 2 batteries and now when you give it throttle, its like there isn't enough power for it to lift off or hold a hover. If you try moving it from side to side with your hand while its at full power, the lower blade may simply stop or the upper blade may stop. I am thinking the 5in1 board is going out on me. I even replaced one of the motors to no avail either. Couple of pics of how it looked. Looked really nice lol.

Yep, its sad. Almost 60 bucks in hop up parts for a 90 dollar heli and she does that. This isn't my first issue with this helicopter either. 2 weeks into it one of the motors fried and I had to replace it. So now I am just saying screw it! I just ordered another bnf mcx2. Now I have to decide if I want to pull the 5in1 off it and switch it out, or pull my hop up parts off the old one and slap them on the new one lol.

I never buy new cars any more as soon as you drive a new one out the show room you have lost $1000
Second hand is way better value for money... plus the original owner has done the breaking the engine in for you. so no driving around for the first few hundred miles at 30 mph.

I just finished upgrading my 120 SR; the new swash is darn pretty as as the pre-painted canopies.


Horizon will be getting some electronics from me in mail soon to be repaired under warranty (I hope). AR6200 with Sat and ESC from Stryker. I miss flying my Q; best handling, quickest, most fun plank I have ever owned. My T45 flies pretty good but I am kind of getting sick of EDF's. Pita to hand launch and belly land in grass; comes in hot and tumbles from undermount servos catching grass, taking little chunks of foam with it; very aggravating. If I bought another EDF it'd hand LG; that being said I have no paved runway to use here

new cars are a rip....and I bet you lose a lot more than $1000 when it goes off the lot. Down here, rust isn't a problem [plastic and rubber and paint have a very limited lifespan], metal lasts FOREVER. My "new" car is a '94. 180,000 miles. My "old" car is a 1980 Prelude w/125,000 original miles. I figure a few new car payments will take care of a lot of fixes to a used...
