My green Delta has a 2200kv on it and it will do unlimited vertical. But after about 3 seconds, I begin to freak out - as it reaches 400-500 feet almost right away.
Mac,

Always thought that guy was Charlie Brown....with a new shirt.

Nope it's the cartoon Karl -- with my super-imposed cartoon of a T-28 in front of him.

BTW:
This photo hit me right immediately as "Ridgewalker in 25 years" -- only Ridge would do what this guy's doing in the photo!!!

I flew my Champ a couple of weeks ago and almost fell asleep. Still had fun

I only get nervous with my wood planes sometimes, much harder to repair and I've seen others crash them and all that's left is kindling.

Is it my imagination looking at this pic??!!!??? That prop looks like it is "totally" stopped while the pilot makes some sort of adjustment to the engine. That is some pretty damn fast "aperture/speed" setting on a camera even back then

Is it possible he could be gliding? Holy crap!!

HA! Is it photo shopped ?

Mike.

I'm going to venture to say that the Cub photo could be real but doubt it. Didn't most if not all Cub's need to be "hand started", no electric starter? If real, he would likely needed to cut the engine off, perform a stall to stop the prop from windmilling and trim the plane for a glide and step out onto the gear for the photo stunt. The only way to restart the engine would be a steep dive or land it dead stick in the field below to hand prop it. Both are possible by the looks of the picture but not really a lot of altitude to burn for starting the prop spinning. If it's real, looks pretty foolish but people have done pretty risky stuff for the sake of a photo. Funny one though.

Got some combat video up from today too.... Enjoy

Just found this doing a search of the Cub's numbers... Claim is that it's real but there is a pilot in the back seat and there is a rope around the waist of the guy out front. He is going to hand prop start the engine in the air here.

Thats one crazy pilot, and this was before "the A-team" ;o)

Whirlcap: Nice vids you really have been out letting your Assassin rip. It would be awesome with some of that combat footage from a 1st wing perspective. Loved the geese goosing.

Waiting for a new dx6i antenna. I flew my mini-EZ-star-wannabe-plank today (mEZswp), but after the first battery, roughly 10 minutes flight, my fingers were too numb to go on. Got in some dips, loops and...turns. It has a pretty agressive sound for a glider.

Thanks for sharing that Mac! Almost hard to believe they let it be aired! Was such a typical weak argument against guns, deflecting to extremes like nukes because they are unable to argue the base point. Thinking that guns can be removed from all people and we will be safe. loved how the anchor was shocked when Keith told him he was armed right at that moment!
