Hmm thanks! The thing is that Phoenix requires a special adapter. The cables others use from eBay is just a normal mono to USB cable. I tried connecting the two but am not getting any luck. Maybe I'm not making the right connections.

I dug out my old XP machine lol. Didn't work on that either.

I guess I'll just get the cable off of eBay.

BTW, I think the sim runs up to win 7, but the DX5e is only compatible up to XP.

The cable that comes with Phoenix has the little box in the middle to convert the signals coming from the tx to USB.

I run the sim with the dx5e on my XP laptop and my home Vista desktop. That's proof enough for me!

Yep. But that box is not a converter. It basically decodes the signal so that no one can use any pirated copies of Phoenix without buying the special cable from them. You actually don't need that box as no signals are being converted.

Glad to know that it does work. I'll figure something out. I use regular flight simulators with my joystick though, those are a blast too! But I guess it's just not the same feeling as flying an RC plane lol

This is the only "snub" I own... and it's not really a snub.

Doubt I get my daily fix of 1-2 hours of solid flying today.

Wait till you see how smooth that 109 is. I bet touch and goes and landings will be a cake walk with it. Tam swaps planes like I swap underwear, wonder why he never keeps one longer than a week? Takes me that long just to get the feel for the plane, and I fly at least 1 hour per day, usually more.

P-47 lands like a brick, it'll make ya break a sweat...

So guys, got nosey and asked the girl if she got that airplane yet ( as in the t28) and she played the game "maybe I did, maybe I didnt", which leads me to suspect she did, well find out saturday though

Mac is that your only gun? I guess you could consider guns my fourth hobby behind skiing. I love to take the mossburg 500 and go shoot some 5-point sporting clays, my best was 20/25. We also have a .306 we take up to the state park and get some long range shooting in ( We have that thing so dialed in I can put a mean 10 round group down range. Then we have the
.357 Trooper Mark 3, and the S&W .38 special. And then there is my own pride and joy, my first ever personal firearm which is a Ruger Mark III. Man do i love her.

Did I mention I cant wait until saturday..

Really? Thats wierd, well not wierd but...different? Maybe its just because of America being "Land of the free, and home of the brave" I'm used too.

Or it could be the amendment saying we have the right the bear arms. But Astro, if you ever get a chance to fire one, take it. Its an experience so different then anything else, just like our planes. Its the feeling of holding something so powerful, that changes the world day in and day out that gets to me. And I feel that everyone should at least have some knowledge on firearms....you know in case "Red Dawn" actually happens

Meanest- .300 win mag, or .450 marlin.
Coolest- Old 6.5mm carcano, old Fox 16g double, or old .30 carbine

Mossberg 500 is a good gun, I have 3 barrels for mine. Stock, short, and slug. 835 is a beast, my dad has it. We shoot skeets here pretty regular.

My 1st. hand cannon was a Ruger security six .357 stainless. It's a beast...

Man, I got up. Got ready. Drove all the way to work. Waited two hours. Got to the job. And we didn't do it. Came home empty handed. Dang
