D'ya know I've been plotting my plane buying and have been looking at the Needle 124 and the Precision but have decided the Needle100 Carbon is ideal for me, and if I want a 3m F3F then second hand is the way to go as I won't be racing.
A classic video of why the Needle 100 is hot:
So Huma, Rotor, Bird60, Luna, Shredder, Needle 100. Looks balanced for what I want to do. still npt sure where the Mustang will fit in and I do see a Velenta Volcano in my future. Plus the ongoing PSS project that dare not speak it's name…. Proper scratchbuilt this one. |

Yep, mighty impressive vid that 1. Makes ME want a Needle, and who cares about a balanced fleet anyway? The Mrs doesn't count BTW...

I'm down next Friday evening so I'm focussed on the build, I havent even done a bench fly yet.
Right, off to Tesco and then back to get some carbon glued in a couple places, a few cut outs made for radio gear and some measuring for flap and aileron horns. I cheated and bought some of T9s pre threaded 2mm stainless pushrods. |

Just popped into B&Q ( next to my local Tesco) and found the ballast tube material that I gave just finished off on the Luna tube. Cost about a fiver. The last bit I had I found in a skip.

Been doing that for a long time. nice little cut away to make the base of the finger feel better and the trusty e-Bow in other hand.

just back from the Eastbourne F3F
a rather excellent day-out started quite light conditions & ended up quite windswept 9 rounds - amazing for a BMFA league comp Phil hearing beer calling... Edit - Wetherspoons beer festival - some interesting brews (hic...) |
