I have an Easy Star with the RVOSD5 connected to FRSky via PPM and no ailerons. So which config is correct to get it to work properly with RTH and FBW?
1. In the PPM menu, re-assign CH 1 (Aileron stick input) to Rudder and connect the RVOSD5's Rudder out to my Rudder servo (leaving the RVOSD Aileron Out disconnected).
2. Or leave the default assignments in the PPM menu, and connect the RVOSD's Aileron Out to my Rudder servo (leaving the RVOSD Rudder Out disconnected).
In other words, which output does RVOSD autopilot use to steer; rudder or aileron? If rudder then I would assume that option 1 is correct. If instead it steers using the ailerons then option 2 should be the right choice. Are there any other RVOSD settings to tweak, since the rudder affects both yaw and roll on the EZ?
