nope none at all, will finish assembling tonight - mounting the rvosd glue the wings in and adding the new motor once its all done i will retest, i can sit it on the roof of the pergola that might help....
hope it works! re maiden is this weekend and the rvosd display and AH is a huge change from the remzibi osd!!! - i really like the new AH!

Anyone know why the text overlay on my RVOSD 5 is terrible in my goggles? They look ok on my 9" monitor but in my Doms they looks horrid. The video seems ok.

What is considered a safe temp range? Mine gets pretty hot while waiting for a setting home to finish. I'm already planning to get a clip on fan to keep Vtx from burning.

Ok so Friday night everything hooked up and after 20mins success it picked up satellites and set home, cool!, After playing with the switching between menus and screens i turned everything off. So this morning I head out with some fellow fpv'ers (1 hours drive away) and no satellite lock..... Try rebooting, tried another known good gps unit that was on another plane that had done a successful flight, tried moving the gps no luck, no matter what we did it would just sit there searching satellites ? And at one stage I left it rvosd on UHF rx off for over an hour with no luck.
My mate put his gps that I borrowed to test straight back on his plane 5 mins later he has lock????
Do I have a dud rvosd?
Tonight I tested the cable for breaks its ok
Tested all the joints solder points etc at the plugs all seem fine
Anyone got any ideas? Pretty disappointed right now after shelling out all that cash for a top of the range osd
Guess I will be emailing range video for support and waiting 6 mths for a reply....

Check GPS settings 10HZ and HDOP
From manual....
4.23 Configuring GPS
Be sure that the GPS fix update: is set
to 10Hz (default), if you are using the
included 10Hz GPS module.
RVOSD will display "Searching Sats"
when there is not any satellite lock
reported from GPS and will change to
"Setting Home" as soon as it locks on
the first satellite.
The RVOSD start the ‘Setting Home"
timer after GPS HDOP value goes
below Set max HDOP: value.
-This value sets the minimum GPS
signal Horizontal Dilution of Position
(HDOP). -Its recommended to set this
value to the minimum possible (around
1.00) to have an accurate set of zero
altitude and home GPS coordinates,
with this value to low. Setting it to 1.30
seems to be the best compromise
between accuracy and lower time to set.
Keep in mind that this must be done
with clear open sky visibility.

Hi guys....has anyone pulled their GPS connector from the osd board while trying to unplug the gps cable to replace? The &*&^ thing just pull out of the board and its stuck to the cable end. I just purchased my Osd Sept. 20th from RV and I only had a couple of flights on it and now this happens...kind of wonderring if i should have kept the shrink wrapping but I need to get access to the voltage jumper. the shrink wrapping would have added strength to that connector. Any suggestions for reparing this? The OSD works but i have no GPS

You can get someone with good soldering skills to fix that!

Yep read the manual and checked the settings about 50 times lol

I would pull the unit out of the plane, lay everything out, power everything from a battery and see what happens. This might help isolate the source.

I was thinking about soldering it but that thing should have not pulled that easily. I wonder if the unit was defective. I will send it to RV to see if they can fix it under warranty and if not, will have to see what he will charge me to fix it.

Exactly what I was thinking! Maybe there's something interfering? I am also running a separate battery for video, will remove that reset the jumper and run of one battery to eliminate as much as possible

Email them for a RMA# they are excellent about repairs.

Acky does it continually say searching sats? Or GPS disconnected?
Also set your blank screen to GPS and check the numbers there
