debating on what osd route to go with. I ruled out eagletree(I think) Its either the RVOSDV5 or the EZosd with the ruby.

This is the first batch of a very complex hardware, we had few boards with hardware problems. But also notice that we are replacing them at no extra charge.

You have to provide a 3S battery on the auxiliary battery input, and remove the main battery disable jumper. Remove the heat shrink and unplug the boards to do this.

Can you confirm that 5v for servos and rx is provided by a 5v internal regulator inside RV? (eventually can be disabled to use an external battery pack hooked on rx or RV servo ports?)

To end a long story can you provide a power supply scheme of the RV? (including jumpers function)

No, the power to the servos and the receiver have to be provided by a separated BEC. RVOSD does not power them. All servo I/Os on the OSD have the Vcc and ground connected together.

I am having composite video pass through issues with the RVOSD.
The attached picture shows the video link bypassed. It works this way with a Vtx connection or a direct wire link. However passing it through the RVOSD there is no video. Simulation as if it was on a plane with ppm on the aux channel and using a ESC BEC did not make a difference either.
No smoke is let out of the gear.

I have a similar issue (same setup, 900mhz): if i pass thru a calble (no tx-rx) everything works, but if i take video signal thru video tx-rx, i don't see any video. I can check tx is working because i have a mic hooked to tx and i can ear from it from the monitor. I changed cables and everything, next step i will try with a mate's gear,... or burn everything

It looks as if you have the video in video out reversed.

Blurry picture. But seems you have video tx connected to video camera without connecting to OSD

Video in on RVOSD goes to camera.
Video out on RVOSD goes to video tx.

Edit: realized this was a picture of the OSD bypassed.

I sent the unit in for evaluation. The Video in is on the outside pins and out is the next one. Unless defining like some old stereo sound systems do where out goes to out and in means into the others in.
I have had a microwave rcvr chip zapped by a Post Office Xray scanner in the past. Such is a possibility.

It's great, and that's even with vibrations in all axis maxed out...I'm woking on that though.
