Help!
RVOSD thermal sensors

Hi guys. Sorry for the noob question here, I have searched unsuccessfully for a couple of hours now so I will ask for help

I bought an RVOSD gen4 and decided to install it on my Skywalker.

here are my questions:

1) what are the best places for the XY an Z sensors location in the plane ?
2) the XY board , is it best to mount it in diamond (corner of the board facing the front of the plane) configuration or Square( edge of the board facing the front of the plane)

May be you can suggest a few build pictures or send me a link where I can find useful information

Thanks in advance for your help

I got the whole deal as a package second hand, so the IMU is not an option for now.

not ruled out but not available $$ for now

Put the x/y on a 15cm/6" rod above & just in from of the motor. Z on the side in front of the tail(if possible). If you can get some thin USB/mouse cable and change the flat wires for the shielded. They will work way better.

interesting but delicate suggestion. do you have any pics ? I was thinking of using the flat tray on the tail boom..

This is a bit extreme though. You can also mount the XY sensor skewed 45 if you configure the appropriate menu. If you search on the Rangevideo forum you will get a lot of information about. I had explained that many times.

I tried the RV forums but the pictures don't show....

to be honest I was keeping the sensors in their bags until I am ready to install them . so I opened the bag yesterday evening to work out where the placement would be...
what did I find ??? you guessed it !

a marking that says where the front edge of the board is....

And I thought..."don't I feel like a fking Ahole"
