As Jim said we cut lots of cores over the weekend, I took a little video, but after watching them I concluded- "it's a lot like watching paint dry"

We did a pretty fair job on the cores we cut. I think that Jim/Dan/I all had one core each that was a complete defect. Of those, we're able to salvage a good left/right pair.

Jim and I working on getting the final fuses as well as doing some layouts of the tail bits on our 3/16 balsa stock.

The build parties will be here before we know it!

Greg

If you're drinking another beer, a knife made of balsa sounds like a good idea
I know that's about my speed today...

I spoke to Callie, she's will to make the group a smok'en deal on decals since you've looking at what? Russian Stars and US Star & Bar markings?
What all's on the Major sheet that folks would want?
Any Australian blue & white circles?
Any of which would be easy pease for Callie.

Give her a quote of what a group buy would look like in quantities and she can probably satisfy your need for decals much cheaper than a Major Decal sheet and give you a little variety thrown in.

I've used her services to produce a set of decals for a 1/12 scale Hurricane with Night Reaper's scheme and they decals are beautiful things.

Anyone wanting to do a group buy on those decals should start talking here and coordinate it. I don't think Greg and I will be joining in since I like to roll my own and have offered to help out Greg and others. I have the laser sheets ready to go.

For those of you that don't have decals lined up it sounds like a great opportunity to get together with the other people in the build and see if you can work something out.

2 Weeks!?

Jim and I headed up to TFLG'S to pick up Brian and go flying at Cajon. Unfortunately, the wind didn't cooperate. We took advantage of the nice hot weather o sheet a few wing cores (Jim n I don't expect to get much of our own building done during the build days). Good news the 110 degree weather turns 5 min epoxy into about 2 min!

2 minutes... AFTER putting in on ice in a cooler too. That kinda heat seperates the men from the boys. But Greg hung in there just the same

I got up early this morning and finished my plane. Ready to fly now

Ok, just kidding, I cut off that aileron that was a little off and re-glued it on straight. You really have to line stuff up right when your 5 minute kicks in 2. I don't think I'm gonna do anything else today as it is already about 150 degrees outside.....

I would want to buy some of the RAF markings for my P-39. IDK if anyone was thinking the same thing?
