The servos and linkages are done. I always use rudder control if possible........ to keep the verticals flying nice and straight.

Next up is to work out the CG and battery placement. I have a few new packs on order which might take a few weeks to get here so I might try a 900 mAh 3s2p battery made from two 3s 450's. The fan takes about 150W on a decent 3s pack so this should be plenty for the maiden?

Power will eventually be 4s 1000's made up from 2x2s saddle packs.

Thanks louseyflyer

The maiden was a non-event. I put in a few clicks of up-elevator before the flight, just for peace-of-mind. Then, all that was needed was a few clicks of down-elevator to trim out.

Dang Steve! that was just one sweet maiden and flight!

I'm really impressed. If it looks that cool without the paint in the air......

Thanks CN.

I am particularly pleased with the docile flying. Although they don't look it the wings are quite accurate and with a nice finish............. Used a gravity powered core cutter then vac-bagged. The chosen section (MH42) seems to work well as do the incidences (+1.5 at the root and 0 at the tips)

Thanks Nitro

The CG was set at 25% MAC which I thought may have been nose-heavy but it seems to have been nailed 1st go! Lucky

I'm trying a product called 'Ultramask' to mask the lettering.
