Indeed, I've just come back from a trip to the mainland to fly in the UK nats. (came 4th in ff scale with my Scimitar).

I've decided on how to power the Fury. It's a KP44 with a (now unavailable, pity!) aircraftworld DIY outrunner. 250 to 300W on 3s.

I hope to modify the moulds and also lay up a new, stronger fuse this weekend.

Also I want to make an automatic wing-core cutter before much else gets built.

cant wait to see how it turns out. i always thought a FJ4 would make a awesome model with all that wing area, and decent inlet size, large vertical, and differnt looks. always wanted to do a FJ1....cause ive just about never seen one modeled, and its a "cute" jet....chubby, but classic at the same time. kinda like a mig 15 with p-51 wing/tails..

one of these days ill do a small composite model....may end up beeing based off the 50mm T-33 foamy...some day...too many other projects at the moment...so for now...ill live off of pdawg/danji/steglas micro builds!

CN ...................I too can't stop looking at the FJ-1. Relatively short duct and the Mustang wings I've just been given a first production KP24 to test and I need to make something nano-size (70g) for it.

The Fury project that had stalled is now back on. I had problems pulling a decent moulding but now I am equipped with a vacuum bagging setup and results are so much better........... Also I just can't play with composites when the weather is cold.

Target weight with a 4s pack should be 400g 14 - 15oz. and with that huge wing it should fly like a trainer!

I've made some intake ducting..............2 layers of 80g cloth vacced over a male mould.

Being my first composite this model has been a very steep learning curve. Using vacuum was the turning-point thats getting some decent results.

Maybe the Fury was a bit ambitious............. but you need a subject that really excites you to keep the interest.
