were to hinge flaps on Clark Y ?
Hi im in the process of drawing up a 6ft span cessna Birddog, im looking for extream stol performance, to that end im building it very light,
I had originaly intended to use a Drela aerofoil as i realy like the way my supergee handles, but i know enough about to know i cant just increase the chord 13" and double the wing loading expect it to handle the same.
Anyways so ive gone back to basics and decided on the Clark Y (unless anyone ccan recomend something better?) , Its going to be a hotwired wing so i can get the foil acurate, my qeustion is were should i hinge the flaps for best performance?

That table is really good.. the only caveat i would add is that it's based on quite high Re (609,000). The performance of flaps at the much lower Re of a medium size model during take off and landing could be very significantly different..

Most of those referenced NACA reports are probably still available
