I have the green goldwing version with a DLE 30.
I beefed up the formers around the landing gear block with fiberglass an light ply.
With the CG in the middle of the wing tube it was hard for me to land the plane in a nose high condition. I went to the 4 7/8 CG for now.
It's a great plane to fly.
I did manage to put it in the top of a tree coming out of an outside snap she was in a deep stall. I should of went WOT and used thrust vectoring to pull out of it.
It's fine though I used a boom truck to get it out.
I'm having a buddy put the decals on it now.
I'm not really a 3D pilot but I do some 3D.
I recommend the carbon fiber landing gear from redwing for anyone flying with a more rearward cg.
I had mine at 5 1/4 and my poor landing gear really got abused. I have it at 4 7/8's now and she flys and lands like a trainer, well maybe alittle faster LOL
I had the opportunity to fly a buddies MX2 this past week. His is set up with the 28cc J?? gasser they sell. What a nice aircraft, flys like it's on rails, lands slow, the all up weight of 10.5# really makes for a 3D capable setup. I hovered a little, but that's about it for 3D moves (not my airplane). As long as you don't do a smack-down on good old mother earth, it's a winner!
