What happended to Ken Campbell? How was the wind? Is 18 boats a good turnout?
Bet NAC was a lot of fun, jealous that I could not make it. Can't wait for 2013 in SF. Ryan

Got to use my sprayer for the first time this morning. All I have to say, more practice is good, and I need to do a big clean-up before I try again. Boat does not look good at all. Ryan

Soling One Meter wasn't run in San Diego. George Pedrick won the Soling 50 class.

Well painting is a lot harder than it looks. I guess I am going to be doing a lot of sanding.
Tomorrow I hope to get the majority of the rigging done.

Does anyone know where to get that hollow plastic tubing I have seen people install inside their boats to run lines thru? Is a 3:1 legal for the backstay adjustment? I think I have my RMG figured out, and I am going to use a main sheet IOM post for my mainsheet which will raise the sheet point closer to the boom like ken campbells boat. Ryan

you can use any purchase you want for the backstay- the class rules only
state we can have 7 radio functions, counting the main and jib controls as 2
of those, regardless of if they are both on the same winch. the other five
controls are whatever you want them to be.
I would guess the tubes you have seen below decks are fuel line plastic tubing
from gas RC boats/cars. ought to be readily available in any RC shop or
on-line of course. or, use straws from you fav fast food palace...?

I think you're probably looking for pushrod housing/sleeve. Should be available at any hobby store.

Thor and poltergeist, thank you guys for the info. I hope the IOM mainsheet post will get here soon, so I can continue working on the rigging. Its the main snag as it is going to affect all the remaining running rigging under the deck and I want things routed so they work with no snags.

If someone was interested in joining the S/B fleet right now, where would they go for a boat?

Are there class suppliers currently?
