Throttle hold is used to 1) Hold the throttle at idle for nitro helis OR 2) Switch off the motor for electric helis. It allows you to still have complete collective pitch control.
Throttle cut is usually only used on nitro, or gas, helis to actually kill the engine. It really has no purpose for an electric.
