Have you tried stacking these similar to the way OMM stacked cpods and (IIRC skew planars)? Now we just need our postal system rebooted...
Never tried it, but simulation show the turbine to be a good candidate for that.

I can, a 910mhz turbine is 8.6", virevent is 8.5" in diameter, are you ready for that?

I just finished a new tutorial for the virevent:
Here

I plan to offer DIY kits, you can post your interest here.

Also, two new antenna design are born:
-A 3 blades, "windmill" lighter, more aerodynamic and cheaper.
-A 5 blades, "fan" made as an alternative to the turbine.

That is one of the best written tutorials I have seen on building antennas. Thanks for sharing.

Nice tutorial, thanks! I'll make a pair as soon as I have time.

Say, can I make a Turbine by just making more blades to the Virevent? I mean, are the dimensions for one blade the same?

No, dimensions and pitch angle are different. Don't worry, I'll make a tutorial for it soon.

A 900Mhz antenna is 8.6 inches? ugh.. that's a little big for my AXN. Are the website prices for a pair or just for one?

Wire diameter matter, since you don't scale the wire diameter, equations don't work.
I'll provide dimensions for other 1.2-1.3 channel tomorrow. For 2.4 and 5.8ghz the antenna is wide band so it cover all channels with good SWR. >1.5:1

Price is for a single one, yes those antennas are of low height but wide.

Man that turbine is a thing of beauty. Can't wait for the tutorial.

Also would like to see 3d plots of the patterns for the "windmill" and "fan", those look easier to build
