Dynam PBY Catalina Owners Thread.

It was asked if anyone owns the new PBY from Dynam. I figured we might as well have a thread for us that will have one in hand soon so we can share our experiences. So if you have one in hand, sound off here and keep those of us waiting salivating with pictures.

Orion

Here are the specs.

Dynam have produced something unique this time, the PBY Catalina seaplane. Months of flight testing and design yield an aircraft that is super stable and capable of maintaining flight at super slow speeds that allow novice to master flight mechanics with ease.
High quality scale detail and a nice large 1.4m winspan make this an attention grabbing model. And pleny of power is provided by the twin 1100KV motors.

Made from a high strength EPO-foam for added durability. Powered by a high powered 850KV electric brushless motor and a 11.1v li-poly battery pack that provide up to 10 minutes flight between for each charge.
Makes a great gift since almost everything needed to fly comes in one box.

Specs:
Wingspan:1470mm(58in)
Overall Length:940mm(37in)
Wing loading:44g/dm2
Flying weight:1300g(45.9oz)
Servo:9g X 4
ESC:30AX2
Motor:KV1100 Brushless Outrunner x 2

Requires:
Battery:11.1v 2200mAh 20C Li-Po
4ch Radio Gear

Current release was schedualed for last Saturday from Global Hobby Store. The larger pictures are from Nitro Planes and Grayson Hobby said the end of July before they have them in hand.

I really enjoyed my Seawind, but we moved from the lake into town and she was a hassle to move around. Technically I still have her the guy that bought it is only 1/3 through his "easy pay plan"

I pm'd rRorrock about availability and the other thread.
Hopefully we can just get one thread going and not three.

Well lets hope this will be the one rather than some random named questioned thread or sharing it with another plane.

Ok guys, update live from the factory not 10 mins ago.. The raw material for the Cataline run has been delayed by Dynam's supplier.. They dont have an ETA for it yet either.. I speak to them every day and have Cat's in the line to be made, as soon as I know a date, i'll post it in here...

I must get this one! too bad it's delayed. I'd want the retractable tip floats only.
-no amphibian for me!

At least I still have my little Robbe SeaBee to scratch my seaplane itch! Great little performer off the water.
