Working on pitching a flat roof.

Maybe a few days before getting back to the 104.

No haven't neglected the F-104. Will post progress at end of this week. Slow as it may be.

90mm and my for my Wren 54MKIII turbine.

However, larger fans can be fitted as well. Should have enough room for lots of lipos in front of the intakes.

Fuse size will be aprox 65.375", wing span with tanks aprox 31" (unless I add to the wing).

So I finally decided on a wing airfoil. The idea is to have a scale size wing, an airfoil that will allow for good speed and be forgiving at landing. And not look like a trainer wing, but more a F-104 wing. The ruler shows around 13.5"

Bearing in mind that it has a large wing tank at the end of it.

The foam wing will not have the LE flap just the TE flap.

If this wing proves to do a good job, it will be wing I make hollow composite wing with. The LE flap will be on the composite wing.

Excuse the mess. It's how i work.

Scott, for a free hand cut on the ribs, the wings are not bad. They did sheet very easily.
If you use balsa on your 243 , use stiff in middle and TE. Use soft pliable at the LE to curve easier on the test wings.

If I were to use the foam wings, once I cut the slots in them for the spars, I would cover that section with .75oz glass to hold the foam section from moving then sheet. It would also help in spreading the load.

I'll mock up the wings and the wing tank plug and post a pic or two.
