My F-104 will have LE and TE flaps like. This may eliminate the need for washout. However, I have no problem adding washout into the wing if one does not want flaps, or just TE flaps. Since the wings are small and carry no landing gear, a few "plug in" wing configurations can be made very quickly. Then that version will become the composite one.

2/3's of lift from the fuse. Anything can lift at the speeds this thing goes in real life I guess. Like the "lifting body" airframe that was made years ago.

Scott, rained kinda heavy out here today at 3am this morn for around 20 min. Then a few sprinkles. Lots of thunder though.

MY BVM and Yellow both have washout. Probably cut into the foam core.

i'd go with a least 2 degrees , these thing took off at like 200 mph and landed at about 150 -160 i think . they sounded wicked in the pattern ,the J-79 howl and growl

Yea I think 2deg would be good...and keep the aileron inboard of the tip by a good bit..

At this point I have worked the fuse a bit more and turned the front of the wing tank out of florist foam. Messy.

Primer color change to give me and idea of uneven spots when sanding and depth for scribe panel lines and panels.

Also shaped the compound section of the canopy and sprayed it chrome silver to give me an idea of how smooth it is and true via the reflection. It"s good .

Next the rear section of the wing tank.

And the rest of the canopy sections cut from styrene plastic. Then border the sections with a canopy frame out of alum duct tape.

Thanks for the pic. I do have the rough mock up of the intakes already. The idea is to get the boundary layer as it's shown along with the all the other unique things that come with this intake! While keeping the size looking scale.

Found some 2" PVC pipe and it looked like a wing tank.

Turned the pipe down a bit, then turned the tip and tail out of florist foam, glassed and about to finish entire piece. Both composite tanks will be made from this one. That way I know they are the same.
