Makes me wunder what the problem could be, what receiver ?
The SCDs spin full 360 until i counter the direction with the stick - then it's full 360 the other direction
Receiver is AR6255, but the setup is tested both with harness and without and the Hyperions go haywire while 3 different types of servos work perfect. The last AMD is solid on every channel, btw...

Just checked it with another receiver - same servo behavior. Receiver off the suspect list...

It is Your luck ,like many of others...
Bad servos.
Haven't You read the reports about Hyperion servos got worse lately.
IMO ,they became so popular and high demand , that quality control simple can't keep up
with production quantities.
Sorry.
Yuri.

Yes, this is nothing but sad!
Bob at ALLeRC adviced me to contact the European Hyperion HQ to see if there's a chance they will honor the warranty locally. Just sent them a mail and expect some notice tomorrow. This sure ruined my day!

Thanks anyway, sykotic

Arcteryxxx , that sucks.... it must be bad sevos, maybee like Yuri said, QC failure... not good to hear...

I hope they will send you new ones, better..... no matter what, be sure to test them much before you glue them in your plane..

So far with my 5 AMD:a they seem to work, I havent glued hem into my planes yet,, knowing this, I will check them once again before i trust them..

the only positive thing is at least you have not glued them in place first, and then found out ...

The other problem is, there arent many other servos to go with other then the Hyp 09... At least when th Hyperion works, thay are among the best..

Let us know what happens..

Thanks, Sebbe!
Let's hope the Danes will come to my rescue (Hyperion Europe).
I don't know about a good alternative to the DS09S, except maybe D60s?
Well anything is better than the ones I got - seems like QC had too much wine for lunch or something.

Btw: Klüber NBU 15 was mailed today...

That sucks Arcteryxxx
I had some Hitec HS 5125MG going nuts in my wings on a Lynx. They changed center as they wanted and couldnt make them work whatsoever.....strange things happens sometimes. Others have reported similar weird issues in wings.

Now i have put in the Hyperion DS095 FMD which seems fine.

I have also have used JR wingservo:

Futaba 3150 is also another option, maybe not the most fancy these days, but i heave never heard about problems and havent had any myself either

Well, I have to say that I'm most UNimpressed with these Hyperions ... they haven't lived up to the hype for me at all. In my Swist I have DS 09 SCDs for my ailerons, DS 09 AMDs for my flaps and a GMD for my elevator.

Right out of the box the GMD was defective ... lots of jittering, jumping etc etc ... tried all sorts of troubleshooting (potential low voltage sutuation, bad connections etc etc,) but turns out it was just a dud. Of course this was AFTER it was well and truly glued into the plane.

Took a chance and bought another one and this one seems to work just fine. BTW, another thing ... NONE of mine center properly.

I'm seriously surprised hearing all of this. I've got 18 of these servos in planes now (mainly amds with some scds) and they are all perfect, even after some heavy abuse (landing with flaps down etc)

I was planning on ordering some more for a new plane, I'm a little worried now that their QC has gone to crap.

I have umpteen also, had a DOA one a few months ago, but that was it. All the others have been perfect.

Im sure hyperion will be on SJ propo's case, hyperions warranty service is pretty good, lots of dead/dying servos isnt good for business.
