Yes indeed! Installed directly in the V-tails.
Not because they were the best servo, but because they were the best fit. I can say I never had one fail though.

Now I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and install a DS09 I have on hand "before" I have an issue. All of the "what if's" drive me crazy...(er).

I am also exchanging my servo, mine have a pretty big slope when I move the elevator by hand, but mine wasnt installed with MKS, mine arrived with a Vigor metalgear servo..

I will for sure put in a Hyp. 09 before I start to trust that Vigor..

I started to use new paint system CONCEPT ,PPG line.
VERY expensive ,but pleasure to work and to look at.
Extremely durable ,glossy, tough and shiny.
I dont have many colors choices yet,but this hot orange screams on the sun light.
.....it is raining here alleluia

Shiny planes can sometimes suffer from what is known as "gloss divergence" an aerodynamic condition where the shiny airfoil surface results in a disruption of airflow resulting in a condition that results in a hole in the ground soon after launch. This well documented condition is most common when planes are brand new

Experienced modelers will often avoid this by making "intentional" repairs of small dents to otherwise new planes just to avoid this phenomenon. Grey primer and 80 grit sand paper are sure cures for this condition.

Eric has been observed to take otherwise shiny F5B planes and decorate them with odd shapes of colored stick on Monokote. This appears to be effective in preventing "gloss divergence" too.

I'm not sure how it works with really fast airplanes but in slower types turbulators or vortex generators often make better flying. Some F3A aerobatics people say their airplanes fly worse if they polish them. Something to do with boundary layers...
