Anyone tried the Rasa 15x18 yet?

Wonder hot it compares to the RFM 16x17 performance and amp draw wise.

Stilll havent ordered 5S for mine, but it'd be interesting to play with an X with longer legs, as its got acceleration for africa at the moment but a bit more pitch speed would be cool.

On a totally different topic, is there anything I should be putting on the to do list while im in florida next week? ( If you see a dodge challenger doing 150 on the wrong side of the road next week, gimme a wave )

Why yes, I think I already mentioned it in this thread. If you mean the wide 16x17, that one is a lot longer and requires a 5 degree yoke, it's an F5B prop and my guess is it will draw a lot more current. As to the narrow 16x17, I don't own one.

The Rasa 15x18 is great for F5D sized hotliners, it is stiff enough for today's power levels while the thin RFM props wobble and bend a lot which is good to impress spectators with the noise but not for performance.

I first flew my Excite with mega 16/35/1, 5,2:1 gb and Kontronik Fai 18 on 4s with an RFM 15x16, and everyone at the field was impressed with the peak power less than 2kW and the climb rate around 55m/s. But it really screamed noise wise. Then I tried the Rasa and it's so quiet, nobody bothered to look anymore. The peak power was 2,7 kW and the climb rate, not a peak value but averaged over 2 seconds, was 78m/s! It's a 930g plane.

With the 16/35/1?

eCalc shows 210Amps, 3.6kW, 9060rpm, 155mph pitch speed. Ballpark numbers, of course

Yup, 16/35/1

Sounds like its a slightly higher amp load than a 16x17slim

I did not do any change to the prop constant, btw, as I don't have the info.

Order by mail and pay through bank transfer.

It's listed at EUR 40, but price I had to pay was EUR 33,80. Shipment via FedEx was EUR 15 to Norway.

Esc/motor soldered.
Push rods assembled.

Pretty much servos, RX, balancing, fine tunning, etc is all that's left to do. The worst of it is done...hopefully.
In order to get the esc so tight up against the motor do you guys also cut/shorten the motor wires?
