From now on all X-planes will be supplied with FG CNC'd control horns for Flaps and Ailerons. They somewhat 1.5mm thick.
Whoever got X-plane in the past and have not started on build,
please send me request for horns with Your address on my E-mail.

Flew my X today. Fun...as always, but a couple minutes into the flight I hit the switch and "NUTHIN"...I thought I had smoked the ESC, so got 'er down as quick as possible, which is pretty fast with CROW.

No smoke. I was surprised. Soo...just for fun, I hit the switch, and the motor spun. Prop stood still.

I guess I've run up against the pinion issue. Never had that before.

What are all y'all using to permanize the pinion?

Also got 1 flight on the Excite F5D. I nearly crap my pants every time I fly that thing.

HK TL680 is what I use. Never failed in flight, but once when I happened to engage while the plane was on the ground the TL gave in and left all the expensive stuff unharmed.

Is anyone running one of the RedBrick 200A Opto's in either a hotliner or pylon setup? Also, if I decide to go pylon first with the new fuse, is anyone running a small folder setup?

I'm really splurging on myself to get this setup, and I have had bad luck with pylon fixed props and cart wheels on landing. Really want to keep my X in top shape for as many seasons as possible . Had originally thought that hotliner setup with a big folder was the only way to get a folding prop.....your thoughts?

Yes, I am running a couple, including one in my X (as a hotliner).

My new one is going to have a 6x10ish folder on it, in direct drive pylon style so you can use "small" folding props.

You can find as small as 4.75x4.75 folders without much trouble. Maybe there are even smaller ones out there. I used to use a 4.75 one on a small s400 of mine that I had the same problem with... Cartwheeled every second landing from the prop digging in. Folder solved that.
