Jeez...VooDoo.
She is one great flying ,but SHAME NASTY looking bird

Guys thank You for debating on alignment ,points taken .
...about horizontal.
I am using regular 3 mm bolts but use to use a sinkhead ones, which helped a lot to center horizontal stab when You screw them tight.
With regular head screws there is still a tiny little gap in between screw and stab wall, and to make it sit crooked or straight ,all You need its to loose them ,twist horizontal a little and tighten bolts again.
The reason I am not using sinkhead screws on horizontal stab is because
stab is way to thin and countersink drill bit makes it so thin that there is almost no body of the stab left after drilling.
If it is clear as a mud,I will try to post some pix later.
Thank You all again.
Yuri
P.S. Dont forget to take Your prescription pills and if You missed the doze You know what to do

What power system is being used in that setup? Motor/batt/prop

Pretty sure its still on 4s, p125, mega 16/35/1 kgp 5.2 and probably 16x17's... Not 100% on the prop though.

One day VC is going to put a 5s in it

I've figured it out.And since Yuri won't pay my ransome I'll tell everyone.
The 'twist' that some are complaining about is simply a 'pre-load' in the structure that when subjected to the torque from WOT events, conforms into perfect alignment.
Hmm, that explain so many twisted religions. But let's not go there.

Would also be interesting to how you would go about fitting the motor, Rolf! At 38mm width and some 32mm at the GB I would guess the motor is just "too fat" to fit in the X without having to cut the nose too much.

I've always have wanted a pylon f5d plane or a f5b hotliner for years but have never bit the bullet and bought either. I've been consumed by giant scale 3d planes for the last several years and want to try something different. Lately, I find the hotliner setups more appealing than pylon. I'm looking at either an enigma or the x-plane/swist. I kind of prefer the smaller size of the f5d ships compared to the f5b. But from an overall cost aspect, I don't think the smaller plane is really any cheaper compared to something like the enigma. Does anyone have experience with both f5d/f5b hotliner setups and which size they prefer? Pros/cons of each, and fun factor of one over the other?

You need one of each

They are totally different to fly in my opinion. Both have fun points, either the all out speed of F5D or the grins that happens each time you push the button on F5B

Don't think anyone could say one is better than the other with any other reasoning than "just cause".

You are right that the size of the plane doesn't affect the cost that much, most will still be needing 5 servos, a decent esc/motor combo etc etc. Maybe f5d can be a little cheaper if you have a direct drive setup, but there is hardly anything in it.
