You have to keep plane at proper speed to make this "retarded" prop working .
16x16S 16x17S my favorite props of all times.
Tzeentech,I wonder ,what prop You prefer instead?
Yuri
Yes thats right but all the narrow blades from RFM ( 12,8x13 , 14,5x14 is worst and so on) convert power in noise. On smaller planes like the X with small motors you can't mount for example a 16x17 gold 5 but it's much more efficient and silent. But I can see your point. On the X the 16x17S is the non plus ultra but on bigger frames like on mine there are better ones.

Another possibility is a prop rubber. If you have normal Spinners without optimized folding they'll fit and help the prop to fold.

hmmm.. that sounds very interesting... Who do you make the request to, and can the software be updated in the ESC or is it a firmware kind of deal?

Guys,
I was curious about this so I emailed HiModel's directly about ordering special firmware equipped ICE's and got this reply:

Hi,
You can order the ESC from us, but you need to search for the different firmware yourself, this ESC is compatible with another brand ESC, you can ask some help on RC forums on where to find those firmwares.

It's a sad day in Mudville...

Had to send the Neu 1115/1Y in for service so put a Neu 1112/2D in. Didn't think it would be as fast but it was moving pretty good
I didn't think I pulled that hard but onlookers swear I was...

Anyway, wing snapped!

Holy crap! How did you manage that?

I've abused the sh#t out of my X in the air and the wings don't even hint at a flex.

I'm impressed!

Yeah Sebbe, broke as I was pulling it down in a diving turn to make a speed run on the deck.

Maybe I'll get a 4x next time (Forex always protected me before )

I don't know how fast it was going VDC, especially out of a healthy dive, but obviously fast enough!

Well, looks like I know what I want for Christmas..

I love that fact that (almost?) every person that has lost or broken a X always either fixes it, or gets another one right away.

Shows how awesome/fun they are.
