do you think a Neu 1506/3d would work ok in the X-Plane on 5S as a DD pylon type setup?

very nice work indeed!

um... anyone got a theory on the motor mentioned above? I suspect it is too small, too low in watt capability.. but I can get it + a new ICE100 for $200..

Thanx guys.It does look pretty cool and no as corny as I expected.
I dont know what fuse color would be better then black

Master, I think Your motor is a great choice,if You can fit it.
It is actually goes down the nose, not further then on picture.
But for direct drive,I guess it is a perfect motor.

Yuri...

Yes, I see the problem now. Unfortunately I would have to trim the nose back too far to fit that motor being 1.5" in diameter.. And if I decided that the DD setup wasn't to my liking, there is no going back to the longer nose..

Now if there was an X-Plane fuse with a slip on nose cone... Both options could be accommodated...

The X-Plane really is designed for a high power geared setup I guess And I will look about for something to suit..

Also the Diabolique is rockin'!

That came out exceptionally nice Yuri!!!!! I LOVE IT!
You do awesome work my friend!

Did you plan on painting the fuse black or just leaving it in bare CF? I prefer the latter, bare CF.

you can fit up to a 30mm motor with no mods (on my fuse at least). The Neu is 1.1" in diameter (about 29mm). As Yuri showed, you can fit larger, but have to cut the nose back to accommodate the diameter..

Would this little dude handle (3) DS-09's and an Optima 6?

4.8v 4C NiMh 250mah

I will be flying it for about 2:30sec

No ones gonna answer that for you man. Its risky.

The only way to find out is too test the snot out of it, and use the A9 telemetry to tell you whats up. Nimh suck, and how well they perform is depends on bunch of stuff, including age.
