Maiden flights were a success. Yay!

2 flights, no issues. But it helps that I had 2/3 of the US F5B team, and 1/2 the US F5D team there to choose my javelin hucker.

She flew great. No issues on launch at all. The next step will be to launch myself.
I'm uploading video right now. I'll post it when it's done in a couple hours.

For the question above about geared NeuMotors, I'm running Neu 1115 with a 5.2:1 KPG box, if that helps.

Yea I've been leaning to the 1112/1Y, 4S, 10/22 or 11/23 with gear box as well expecially since Esprit has them in stock. But it;s OD is 32mm so I think some of the nose will have to come off to get it to fit.
But I will need a 5.2 gearbox/
So does the Kantroniks gearbox fit on the 1112 motor??

Very Very Cool to hear the maiden got you all jacked up and all went well and thanks for the info....You are running on 4 cells right not,correct ? What prop ?

I can't recall anyone posting about mounting a P32 gearbox in an X Plane. The only geared Neu motor I can recall had a KPG box on it. (Rich?? la528it)

I've been known to be wrong regularly though.......

Thanks,and i feel like a putz....I have only looked at that pic 10 times,maybe just a sign that i am trying to pack to much info in my little brain ....But it was also posts from Rich that had me thinking i should not pull the trigger on the Neu combo.I will get with ZB in the morning and score a Neu w/KPG box.

This is running on 4S.
Once the landing is over, the video continued to run, but the fun is over at that point...I just failed in my attempt to turn the camera off. It's my 1st use of this particular camera and I've got learning still to do.

Anyway, good fun. Rock solid flyer. Could use another 50MPH though.

I hate on board videos,cause there is nothing to see but landscape .
But really liked this one.Most of all,to see that vertical fin and tail boom is dead solid with no flex at all even on hot landing.Second ,You flew her like a MAN ,no mercy and I loved it.
