Longitudinal and manoeuvre stability. Long stab is speed/pitch coupling, man stab is the amount of elevator per 'g' required.

I did notice the pitch up under power you spoke of. Made launches interesting! It's probably responsible for a fair amount of the long stab problem. Man stab's hidden to an extent by those bits of spaghetti connected to the elevator.

What ESC are you using?
I'm using a CC T-Bird 9 ESC.

I have the most nose down thrust I can do without resorting to a curved thrust tube or a deflector. It's enough to make it easily launchable, as long as your below half throttle. Above half and it'll nose up and spin.

Well yes and no - yes because it was the annoyingly random spiralling that pretty much wrote off the airframe: I was determined at first to get it flying with just a 2S - but that meant adding lots of weight to the nose, so she was terribly underpowered, so crashed :P so i added the 3s and got into 2 death spirals, properly finishing her off. I'm not sure i have ever so comprehensively written off an airframe in such a short period of time! I haven't given up on it - but i do need a new airframe, too much glue and damage to the old one. Anyway atm my plane time is taken up with developing retracts for the micro mossie

Wha'eva. Y'all be hatin!

Ran a few laps on the mig again today. Needs a thrust tube, bad. The low speed, high power thing makes launching a little less than relaxed.
I did mcross's pushrod keeper trick. Much better feel.

Dorked it flying too low, snapped a wing outboard of the servo clean off. It'll buff right out

Since I didn't think you had flogged him, I had to look up "stick" in Australian/British (Noun. 1. Hassle, excessive criticism, trouble). Thank you.

Hmmmm wonder if it was caused by man stab, long stab or thumb stab?

Yeah, once I'd stiffened up the elevator stab (as per mcross's method), it felt much much better. Started doing laps at head height and below.

Apparently at head height's cool. 6 feet below head height's not!

While I was repairing the wing, I also gave it a bit of liposuction. Not so much junk in the trunk any more. Think Cameron Diaz, as opposed to Beyonce Thanks Strike for that suggestion!

He he, now with my new, improved exhaust, it'll move out quicker than yesterday!

Gone with the same batteries as me, or still the old plan?

(hang on, you're not running the stock fan are you... That's cheating! until i get a better one that is)

I got a duration flight in on the Sabre today. I wanted to see what all this 2s complaining was about, so I put a 2s 800mAh nano in there. Same size as the 460mAh 3s. I had to fly almost WOT most of the time to keep it in the air. It was a very boring flight that lasted nearly 10 minutes!

Wow, 10 min! That's impressive, even if it is just circuits.

How much does that batt weigh? I was a 3s 610 go in one yesterday, so I'm thinking it can handle a fair lump of lithium.

Hmm, 6s 360...
