I know this is a long thread but way back, I got my Mig15 up to around 82mph on 3S. I had an 850 TP G6 rammed in there. It weighed a ton but was a rocket!
Wooooo!!!...An 850!!!...WOW!!!...I had a 400 4S crammed in the nose and thought mine was fast but nose heavy!!!...I did a nip/tuck for grins and giggles on my MiG 15 but haven't tried it out yet...The nip/tuck was only 1/8"...

I had to rework my A-10's elev. control surface.
Re-bent the torque rod and added a small bit-o-tubing to help
securer it.
The maiden on my A-10 was a bit harsh.
Not sure about that 20mm CG.
My launch just arched like a lawn dart.

Moved it back to 23-24ish and it flew but did not have as much elev. as I needed to keep from hitting the wall.

Going to add some extension to all the control surfaces to help with the Hinking & Jinking

Got a Mig 29 coming for Christmas.

It takes lots of elevator throw as well as a firm hand toss with full throttle. You also can't cut power on A-10s without them dropping like a rock. It's a short tail moment, small surfaces and the elevators are blocked by the nacelles at power off. Start with a fair amount of up reflex, it won't do well startng at neutral. The full scale A-10 uses a bit of up thrust built into the thrust line, these don't so it takes a bit more elevator.

You can try 25mm back, but I think you'll find it extremely pitchy due to being tail heavy. That's where I started at it took everything I had to bring it down in one piece.

Turnigy Plush 10A or 12A will do. Else go for Hobbywing 10A or 12A. They are exactly the same as Turnigy. You will struggle to fit anything bigger and you won't need anything bigger, anyway. You will be around 9A on 3S with the stock motor and fan.

Will try again as soon as I get it back together

You can use the Orange RX 4 channel rx for light weight and is inexpensive...I used an Orange RX 6 channel rx in mine with the case removed to save weight...The 6 channel RX weighs only a couple of grams more than the 4 channel with the case removed...I bought about 6 of these 6 channel rx's to fill in an order...If ya need one in a hurry I could sell one for $12 shipped...

Which Orange Rx do you have? The R610 or the R415? I think this one is the correct one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Receiver.html

I have 410's and 610's. The 415 looks like it is correct but I am not sure. There are several different ends that look very close to this.

Someone here will eventually confirm that the R415 has the correct Molex connector. In the mean time you could try typing R415 in the "Search this Thread" search box above and you'll find the answer.

That is the correct receiver for use with the micro plugs. This is not correct for spektrum plugs.

The spektrum plugs are smaller. 1mm vs 1.25mm I think? That's the 6400 brick size, which is not the same as the 6310 series. Yikes.
