ROFL, my F-15 can fit a nano-tech 850 3s easy, I was thinking about trying one out, but after seeing this video, hells no.

Thanks Miketre, you may have just saved an EDF from disaster.

I'm pretty sure he will sort out the jet in the next attempt.

3s 850mah sounds big, but hey, i'm not so sure it wouldn't work. If it can balance well, I'm sure it will fly. I'm putting bad thoughts in your head now eh?
The mig-29 has the space, but you won't get the CG with that battery.

The video just reminded me how disastrous my mig-29 maiden flights were. slightly squished nose on the first launch, concorde nose on the second. and broken one on the 3rd.
Then I look at the video and the mig-29 looks so pretty. I have a new mig29 airframe on the way, now that they are finally back in stock at HK.

Hey, if you take video requests, can you get some chest level slow passes of the F-15? Low and slow to admire the plane.

Yeah this weekend I'll get some slow passes. I'll fly with the drop tanks and missiles too, now that I know she can handle the extra weight, I have to add a coin in the front to get cg rot with the ordinance

The more I fly this Mig-29, the more I like it. I've got it tuned pretty well now, hand launches are a no drama routine. I'm loving it....... now time for an F-15.

The F-15 flies nice, you can tell they took more time in the design.

I cannot compare it to the MIG-29 as I sold my kit parts b4 building them (due to not having spare motors and EDF's for sale at the time)

One thing I did was drilled two small holes on the bottom of the fuselage and than 2 more cuts on the EDF cover, to get some airflow inside to the batteries and the ESC's.

I second that, but it would require you to change the connector to the Rx.
Make sure you buy the male molex conectors with it.

New to the forum and just got doe reading all 186 pages. I'm thinking about get one of these EDF's. After reading all the post it sounds like the Mig-29 is the easiest jets to fly, is this true?

Also, I see some guys are using the Turnigy 9X, what receivers are you using besides the 9ch that comes with the radio for these small jets?

I had an afternoon of buzzing with my EDFs, from the 64mm to the
Tiny 35mm F-86. The 35mm F-86 looked much faster on camera than the bigger planes.
Watch the video and see what I mean. It appears towards
the end of the video.

Nice passes.

I had a great day flying today as well, but crashed my F-15 today. Servo went out mid flight.

thanks for the slow passes.

Sorry about that servo failure. I had 3 stock servo failures this month on 3 different 35mm jets.
I like the hobbyking 2.5g servo, but they are out of stock and requires soldering to swap the connector.
I ordered some 3.7g and TGY-D1290P servos in my last order to keep in my inventory.

btw, it's a right servo failure, not left

Yeah that's how my first F-18 had its first crash 2. Sucks cause I can't find any 2-3g servos in stock anywhere now.

Btw hobby.com hads the 35mm stock fans, but no motors.
