I'd suggest at least flying the F-15 with the stock elevon configuration as a baseline, as it is a known, tested setup with no modifications required. Then do you your mods for comparison.

For me---The combination of mechanically mixing the ailerons and elevators spoils the true flight characteristics of the plane...I'll go conventional...If anything I have some 2g servos I could stuff in the wings for the ailerons...Elevators will get 3.7g servos...12amp postage stamp ESC's weigh next to nothing...Increased power consumption is a moot point with servos as small as these...

Can't wait!!!

The extra weight of servos probably won't make much difference on 4s, but I wonder if it could be even better to replace the servos centrally and use nylon flexible pushrods setup with standard aileron/elevator setup using two servos?
It seems to look nicer then the original picture, but quite toy(ish) with the over sized engines.

For 3S, I would recommend ESC's with a rating of at least 12 amps.

I placed a Castle Creations Phoenix 10 (10 amp rating) in my F-18 and the overcurrent cutoff kicks in on a freshly charged battery.

Personal wattmeter tests showed an initial 12 amp pull from a fully charged 3S lipo with the 5 bladed fan rotor.

At my own risk, I disabled the over current protection.

I cannot speak to the best battery suited for your airframe. In my opinion the best way for you to go about it is:

1. Build the plane and determine what amount of weight can be used in the battery compartment to acheive balance.
2. Research your preffered lipo source for packs that will sustain your required full output (24 amps continuous in this case).
3. Determine if the lipo's dimensions will fit.

It's amazing to think that the little 35mm fan pulls the same amps as a well balanced stock 50mm EDF on 3S!

I heard that many people use with success 2x 10 amps ESC and a 3s 500-600 30c 0n 5 blade edf stock.....maybe a 3 blade is better ?

Does anyone else flying the Mig 29 feel like it is woefully under powered? Mine also seems a bit loud fan wise, yet does not vibrate any more than my other J-power models. (2s pack 500mah) AUW of 158g. It flies fast enough just seems to have 0 thrust if you slow down to get back up to speed.

No "contact info", "shipping info", or "terms" on their website that I could find. I did some poking around, and it looks like their site is hosted in Hong Kong. Nothing wrong with that. I did some more searching and it seems that they are a new shop. No reviews or confirmation from other people to go on. Hope you guys that order from them receive it.

The stock status indicates they are new too. Still nothing wrong with that. I do hope they carry more and more supplies, not just airframes. We need good hobby sources. The RCG local says Canada, and I hope that doesn't hurt shipping to USA.

I sent them an email yesterday requesting information about their location and length of time they have been in business.

When/if I hear from them I'll post it here.

I'm the guinea pig!

I'm normally really cautious on who I order from, research new company reviews and such, but I just have to have the F-15 that bad. I love the Eagle, but only want EPO frames.

I ordered it from Hobby B, so far things look good, but still don't know if his shop is in Canada or China (Doesn't really matter, but from Vancouver Canada to Seattle is quick)

I'll report a review once the jet arrives, if it doesn't I'm not too worried, I've lost more than $109 at the Casino's.
