Good news on the parts. More good news is from my crude static thrust testing, in which I simply hold a models exhaust 6" over the middle of a digital scale and throttle it up. The number recorded by the scale is noted by me as a crude static thust measurement.

In this case, the little MiG-15 put out a peak of 69g and a sustained average of 65g static thrust using a NanoTech 370mAh 2s battery. I think that sounds reasonable considering the flying weight of around 100g.

Other news regards the 3s thrust test, in which I hooked up a Rhino 610mAh 3s lipo and gradually throttled up using my thrust test procedure. It peaked at 80g of static thrust at around half throttle before the fan started to slip on the shaft.

I throttled down and inspected... no damage other than the fan loosening. It looks like this little bird might be a better stock flyer than people are thinking at the moment.

Is there no horizontal stabilizer/elevator listed in the spare parts? I don't see one for either.

MiG-15 tail vertical and horizontal are there, as well as the F-86 parts. Search '35mm EDF' on the side bar and they just pop up in a list underneath if you wait a second or two.

I believe the horizontal tail pieces are shared between the models, as only the MiG-15 horizontals are available.

I was thinking they may be shared but they are not. They are different however you could probably modify them for use on the F-86.
The Mig-15 canopy is also currently absent though I'm sure these bits will turn up.

Blah! I'm really weary about cheapy transmitters!

I got one with my P-51 about a year ago - and wanted to use it as a take anywhere plane - but the transmitter was awful compared to a good quality set of controls!

I'm hoping I get my F-86 by the weekend so I can give it a go.

PZ Brick Mig

heres my gear, mixed and ready to be installed - super lite PZ Mig. simple setup. Hows that for weight savings. Come on good weather... using a smaller gauge wire for tail controls, already redoing hinges so no biggie, bigger ailerons want this thing to turn on its side and roll without tooo much loss in elevation probably dreaming but we'll see

Got mine today. F-86 came assembled, Mig did not. Both look straight. Took a fan out and apart, looks well designed and well built.
Hmmm, motor hole in the shroud is 10mm, I think it wants a Blowdart motor.
