Thanks, I will also make sure I will take some pictures of adding the lights. By the way, how do you become a figure 9 specialist, is that like a cuban 8 and then have you're plane explode on top of the second loop?

Nah, nothing that fancy... it's half a loop rudely interrupted by the ground...

The Bixler is a good flying glider.

Will do just about whatever you want it to do.

Yep, the Bixler/SkySurfer is an excellent airframe, in fact, it's so good that the big name of Multiplex copied it with their new but still overpriced "Easy Star II" It's ironic how MPX fan boys are constantly squawking about how the Bixler was a ripoff of the Easy Sar I, which is ridiculous, because the Bixler/SS is a completely different kind of plane with full 4 CH with ailerons designed for brushless outrunner power in stock form, whereas the Easy Star was only a 3 CH ruder/elevator plane designed for brushed can motor, now the EZ II is copying the phenomenally successful Bixler/SS by going to full 4 CH control and brushless outrunner power, but the overinflated price misses the mark by a mile.

I don't see either company copying anything not seen before, and the pricing is quite relative to where you are located. In Western/Central Europe, the EasyStar 2 is 59 EUR and the Bixler is 51 USD. Both kit and ex shipping, so the difference is rather marginal. The original EasyStar has been down to 39 EUR for a while.

I haven't got any hands on with the Bixler, but I own the AXN FloaterJet / CloudsFly, and if that is anything to go by, I'd say the Multiplex quality more than justifies the small price difference. Add to the balance that my local hobby shop stocks Multiplex spares, and you may appreciate why I own 5 Multiplex planes.

But I'm sure the Bixler is a great plane, and I may just get one next time - just to try it out

Happy landings

In the USA the Bixler / Skysurfer is $50 for the foam only kit and the easy star 2 is $95.

Actually, the bare foam Bixler kit from HK USA warehouse is only $40, and the upgraded ARF version with servos and brushless motor is $55 (Plat.. level pricing) yeah, it's kinda no brainer, I seriously doubt the MPX version of EPO foam is really that much butter then the EPO used in the Bix/SS that would justify the more than double price, but lsome MPX fan boys try to claim just that to justify overpaying for MPX.

The $50 price is ReadyMadeRC. HK was out of stock when I looked.

MPX kits are very well engineered and even some odd engineering at times (based on a Funcub I have) but the foam quality is better. The control horns won't have to be replaced.

Hmm... you really have a downer on MPX and anyone who likes them, don't you?

I agree 100%

I was woundering though is the stock brushless motor strong enough for my silly video cams. That would be a Gopro and a couple of hk wing cams,or should I order the bare frame bixler.

I have plenty of 55's laying around and could purchase a headsup 2450kv motor.

The stock 1900 kv motor with 3S lipos on the Bix airframe should be just fine with those micro cams the only thing I'd add to the stock setup is an APC 6x4e prop replacing the stock 5x5 prop for much better thrust from the stock power setup.

I also use the Gopro 3.3 oz and the 2 hk cams 1oz each.
I guess I could use a smaller bat if needed as I have 1000,1550 and 2200 gensace 3s1p's.
You are a lucky dog being able to go to hobby people's sidewalk sale.
I still have 2 kits of the wild wing great little wing after you threw the manual away.
I still have EZ stickers so all is good for the mp gang
