wings can be held together with 3m hooks and rubber bands.
velcro just the electronics
glue the CF rod to one of the wings only
tape the cover strips on the wings ( the ones that cover the CF rod and the aileron servo wires)
Im sure I missed a lot of stuff tho
The gorilla glue has 2 ver...the original and epoxy...both can be use with foams. o ya...sorry for my nobbyness...what a 3M hooks?...

I was talking about the brown gorilla glue. Gorilla epoxy is the same thing as regular epoxy so you are good to go both ways.
3m is just a company, you can glue any hooks to the wings, hooks like these
http://www.filtersfast.com/blog/wp-c...mand-Hooks.jpg
I find them good since you can take the wing on an off everytime and during flight these will keep your wings together and from flying off.
its better to get them from a dollar store, 9pcs for 1$ compared to 3m hooks which are like 3$ for 4 or 6pcs.
Let us know how it goes

What motor are you using? do you have a link?
Actually I think the best prop is 6X5.5, since it has the most potetial to move air at lower rpms while fitting onto the plane.
But those should work as long as they are not meant for nitro models

The TGS 6x4 (link # 3.) is the pick of the HK props for the stock bixler but for even better performance try an APC 6x4.

I tried a 6x5 with the stock motor and found it got hot pretty fast and didn't notice alot of difference in regards to performance (maybe a little more thrust at low rpms) but it did make more noise. I haven't bothered trying it with the 2826 as the 6x4 (APC) is plenty fast enough. Dont want to rip the wings off her yet.

Dont be in a hurry, the stock motor is great with the 6x4 APC. I only replaced it because i had another project that the bixler motor suited better.

Your not alone there. I wouldn't be surprised to see the next shipment go to backorders. RC timers sell them as well. (2212 - 6) I think they are around $11.

its an eflite 6 series inrunner, 2000kv.
Im waiting for my dx7 to come in, then I will maiden it.
I calculated the power draw, and with my setup (eflite inrunner, 40A esc and 2200mah battery) my flight time is 4 minutes if I open throttle the while time.

WOW, thats a hell of a motor. Its basically the same specs as a 2836 Turnigy by the looks of it. I would suggest getting yourself a lower pitch prop, you will rip the wings clean off the bixler with that bad boy and 6 x 5.5. but if you do try it, make sure you video it This thing is gonna fly.

Also, you will most likely need to add some weight to the nose to get the CG right with that motor, unless you are kiting it up with FPV gear straight up.??
