Honestly, my professional career, prior to my retirement, called for me to be able to research and answer questions quickly. Since my retirement I've had plenty of time on my hands and I've applied those former work skills to personal interests, including things history related (including classic WWII warbirds). It exercises my mind and keeps me in good mental shape, while satisfying my history jones.
Please feel free to PM me if you ever have a question or research project that I can help you with. I'd be happy to give it a shot.

F-15 ride along, no music
A few months ago, I applied for a position in Maryland with Lockheed Martin. The job was a multimedia analyst in their F-35 Lightning II program. My "job" would have been to ride rear-seat in an F-18 and F16 and shoot video of the F-35 while it was being tested. I went up there and interviewed twice, started prepping paperwork for the top secret security clearance, and was eventually beat out by 1 person and I didnt get the job. needless to say I was devastated; I know I will probably never again get the opportunity to ride in a fighter jet, much less do it for a living.
The guy in the back seat of this F-15 is doing what I hoped to be doing...sigh.
