Hey beagle,

I popped over here from the "Let's see the S.P.A.Ds" thread. Nice planes and plans.

I'm occasionally updating the www.spadtothebone.net site these days (we lost the www.spadtothebone.com domain to a speculator when the prior site maintainer passed away). Would it be ok to add your plans to the free plans area someday?

Thanks,

Kris Frost.

thanks Kris
no problem, but might be better to add a link to my page 1 on the spadtothebone site, that way if I make any changes / improvements, the latest will always be available

Almost Ready

Mine is nearly ready. Had to use 3mm all over as here in OZ, 2mm is as rare as rocking horse Sh#T ! So far AUW is 1136g (40oz) but remember it still needs balancing and spinner and control links on Ailerons.

Oh yeah, I would include a link to this thread next to the plan link in the Description column for the plane. See the "work in progress site" for the setup of the Description column at http://www.spadtothebone.org/plans.html. I plan to add links to related info/threads in that column for the other already existing plans there too.

Hey Andrew, Try ringing some local plumbing places and ask them where they get there "Patcore" from. 2mm black corflute for water proofing. I spoke a supplier down here, and they've got bucket loads of it, and stupidly cheap too.

Hope that helps, Phill

nice looking Corsair there Andrew, thanks for posting pics
my spinner ( and about 180grams of lead inside ) was knocked clean off in a minor mid air collision, surprisingly the Corsair kept flying and didnt loose pitch stability, so the CG on the plans might be a bit conservative

good luck with the maiden and lets see some in flight pics too.....

Thanks Phil, I will give it a try as I have a Reece plumbing shop in my industrial area.

FB. I will still balance it as per plan for the maiden but good to know it still may be flyable at a different CG setting. The maiden will now be a few weeks away as my wife is now working for the next 3 weekends and that leaves me home with my two sons (under 5).

I'm in the same boat there (twin boys). They just can't just quite chuck it at 3 but.

I absolutly love these plans guys. I honestly need to get me heaps of corro and a good knife, glue gun and get cracking. They look awesome, and they seem to fly just well. Can't wait to get into it.

And F. Beagle, Love the movies mate, they're honestly some of the coolest movies I've seen.
