Its final, we did all testing internally and will only ever release final hardware. There are no revisions planned at all.

-Any news yet on availability and pricing of a baro/magneto add-on board? Should I put it on my 2011 Christmas list?
Not yet. It will onl be out when there is interest in adding the code to support it.

-Can most standard 10Hz GPS RS232(?) modules be connected directly to the CC board's serial port as-is, or are additional electronics needed to interface/buffer them? In other words, is software the only limiting factor towards enabling GPS position hold and RTH with an off the shelf GPS module connected straight to a CC board?
Software is only limiting factor. We are also parsing NMEA GPS at 10Hz for the fixed wing stuff anyway, that is already flying guidance and basic waypoints.

-Do you think the CopterControl ARM processor would have enough spare cycles to transmit basic on-screen display data via it's I2C bus to an ATMega or similar, that was in-turn, handling the low level scan-line character generation (similar to the way HobbyKing's E-OSD does)?
Sure, we already have a module to send data to the EagleTree basic OSD that should work with CopterControl, you would need to dig in to the firmware to enable that module and test it however.

-If I connect my receiver's PPM output to the CC board, can the remaining 5 PWM inputs be re-purposed to create more outputs like the MultiWii?
Sure, but again for now its changing the firmware (PiOS) configuration and recompiling. We are working on dynamic hardware configuration and that will make a lot of this much easier but no promises as to when that will be in.

I think it will be the same as it was. Why would change if the product is the same.

Because it sells better now :-)

Sure, and of course: "The market situation, higher costs, blabla" :-)

If clone is cheap and if there will be any bug, you just buy another one . It's true that there is no support like you have it at original..
