All same thing, all work...
As long you have TX/rx/GND... All good
Just make a matching cable out of servo wire or something

@ Mike, Lazy or 8666

My programming friend has tried to flash the LCD chip, he used AVRstudio something, bt to no avail....... still no action.......no or very litle backlight and only one row with squere dot's.

I think i need a step-by-step...... explanation :-/
I dont remember the name of the programmer he used, but can ask him later today.

For the time being i'm thinking about flashing the board with ordenery KK firmware.
Would ver.4_7X be the right one ?

Thancks

I use Hobbyking quad rotor frame. The frame is alright except the undercarriage is too feeble.
But, for that kind of price, what can you ask for .

Anyway, when will the v5.5e be available for ordering?
want to buy one more piece to do some development...
I have the same HK copter, what adjustments did you have to make for the KK+ board and you transmitter to fly it stable ?

I don't have Dans LCD, but looking at the picture of it in the first post, it should be straightforward...

He needs to use a proper programmer and then hot-wire from programmer to the 6 holes on the board.
If he's using AVR ISP MkII, he will need to supply power to the board as-well.
Oh - and don't have it plugged into LCD.

1. As i understand him, it's a proper programmer, and i soldered the 6 wires to the holes on the board.

2. We did supply the board with 5V power.

3. And the LCD panel was not connected.

As for looking in the first post showing it to be straight foreward.... he he ! me big noob....

That generally sounds OK - for connections:
Code:
LCD holes	ICSP Pin
MO(si) 4
ReSeT 5
MI(so) 1
SCK 3
5V 2
Gnd 6
If this doesn't work, try switching the MOsi & MIso wires.

Hey. All the point are labelled so you just need to follow the point to match your avr cable.

5v power from the 3 pin cable.

Should be straight forward flash. And please disconnect from the LCD module.

@Dan,
I just noticed there is the new XX15e Software on the download page.
I can see twice the QUAD+ Version, but no Version for Tricopter.
Is this a mistake or will the Tri-Version come later?

Any documentation about the difference to Version XX15d ?

Thanks

Chris

In AVR Studio 4 (or 5) and using say AVR ISP MkII programmer or other supported programmer:
  • click the AVR chip icon (next to Con).
The first time you do this you will need to select the correct Platform/Port for your programmer.
Next, the programming window will appear.
  • Select the 'Program' Tab and in the 'Flash' section click the '...' button to select the hex file.
  • The click Program button to burn hex file to chip.
